snowblower 2010 closing party

Photobucket
Last night I went to Snowblower 2010 Closing Party in Ritual nightclub, Ottawa. I knew the performers: DJ Mira Aroyo (Ladytron, London UK), Sexual Overtones (Ottawa Burlesque), DJ Gr[a]ce (We ♥ 2 Hump/I Do What I Want) and DJ Drastik (Disorganised/Straight Goods). What I didn't know that it was the closing event for a week-long sexual awareness program, which meant the focus was on different sexual orientations. There was a burlesque show (which you where strictly prohibited of photographing), a 2m tall drag queen and greatgreatgreat DJs! I actually preferred DJ Gr[a]ce to Mira Aroyo because he played all my favorite songs. Had a great night dancing and photographing interesting party people. The only bad thing is that I forgot to ask for a permission to post their pictures here, so I'll just have to keep them for myself.

PAR

Photobucket
Because of the lack of photos taken in Canada (it's too cold to photograph), here's one from Paris.

Ooooh I finally got two things working: big pictures on my blog (through Photobucket) and Toycamera Analogcolor (free download from Apple). Results are seen here! Took me a long time to get the first one going... I'm not really a tech genius. But now I'm happy!

car confessions

I just needed to tell you that yesterday I was driving at the Ottawa centre all by myself. No one got hurt, no scratches on the car nor parking tickets. There is no picture evidence on that, but I still did it! The feeling was unbelievable when I was going back and crossing the Ottawa River, driving around 100 km/h on the MacDonald Cartier Bridge. And what adds to the excitement that I don't even have the required driving license (my Finnish one's not valid here), so every time I drive here I'm in the risk of getting arrested... Nice!
